Just watching the emotions the kids showed while singing gave me the chills. Music is a very powerful tool and should by used often.

UP IS DOWN (1969)
This is not a happy tale, but a tale of how humanity has dropped the ball. This piece is forty-years-old, but nothing much has changed since then.

Skewed views of science
I couldn't count how many times I've tried to explain something to somebody, and had the response, 'but that's only a theory', as if the word 'theory' means that it's some kind of educated guess. A theory is a model of reality that can make accurate predictions about reality. For an idea to be a theory it must be based on observation, experimentation and logic. In short, it must be what most laymen call a 'fact'.

ONCE: Falling Slowly
I had wanted to see this film since I saw its first trailer on the television. My want to see it was solidified when it was featured so specifically on the Academy Awards that year and after this song was performed. It is hauntingly beautiful. I was able to watch the movie in its entirety yesterday afternoon before I went to work and I was pleased. I really could empathize with the story's result, having (a) conflicted heart(s)... All of the music was amazing. I did not dislike a single song. What talented artists!

Jesus Camp ''Highlights'' (aka Brain Washing)
Irrational beliefs work best if ingrained into the subconscious of young ones, in an environment of rigid conformity, unquestioned principles, and strict judgement. Good news, everyone! Sometimes teh brainwash doesn't take. One or two of those kids will wake up someday. And will possibly go on to post snarky freethink comments on the internets.

Horse head pillow

This is about as twisted as my sense of humor gets. Hy-freakin-larious. Bonus points for introducing me to the term frienemies.
