Lions vs buffalo vs crocadile
A fascinating video of buffalos, lions and a crocodile fighting over one baby buffalo! I guess I'm not the only one that hoped that the baby buffalo eventually would be saved.

Hypermotivation
This is an interesting page, it considers hedonism through a neurobiological line of inquiry. The question at the core of this article is, "What happens to the decision making structure of a rat when you throw its risk/reward way out of whack?" Answers and their meanings/implications are then generalized to humans.

Drum set
A little wonky, a little slow, and terrible if you're dexterous enough to work a hi-hat with your pinkie while your thumb and forefinger do kick and snare. That said, i just killed serious time with it, so it's good for something.

Unity of Human Beings
It's sometimes hard to see the larger scheme, to realize the unity of all. Somehow, listening to and reading Krishnamurti helps to glance at what seems so far yet so real. At least for me...

"Chickenhawk" by Roy Zimmerman
Excellent song on the neo-conservative chickenhawks by Roy Zimmerman, also see Max Blumenthal's visit to the College Republican National Convention, where the GOP's next generation cheer on the war in Iraq, then make sorry excuses for why they can't serve.

Irish student hoaxes world's media with fake quote
A great story on the pitfalls of quick poor journalism as a student creates an experiment to test the news by adding a lie to a wikipedia page and then watching as even the Guardian prints it. Nick Davies wrote an exellent book on UK journalism in which he describes how staff are often under strong pressure to create articles quickly so fact checking goes out the window and often they copy PR (propaganda) press releases. This churning out of the same unchecked PR stories he calls churnalism. This is a good example of how bad it has become.

Rent-A-Person
It is so amazing to be able to find someone you can just be yourself around, regardless of whether you are a lonely bathroom attendant or a neurotic shrink. Again... WHY do we allow our egos and our needy inner children to ruin what has the potential to be so beautiful?

Yo Gabba Gabba Magic Dance Hat Commercial
I truly hate Yo Gabba Gabba show but every time I see this commercial I think to myself I really want this hat. I want a magical hat that sole purpose is to make me dance. And it's weird, puffy and orange. AND comes with Run DMC looking glasses. What more could you ask for?

This is a video of a lady who got so bored that she turned to playing the kazoo for amusement. Unfortunately she hadn't quite grasped how to do it but it was still *way* impressive. Musically speaking.

Internet is killing romanticism

Are you kidding? I love mixtapes. Well, mixtape CDs. It was a way to get people to listen to the stuff I listen to without overwhelming them with so much selections (I burn data discs too, haha), so it was kind of a personal tradition to burn mixtape CDs for my friends periodically? ‘Sides, it’s a good way of keeping track of a) what I was up to then, and b) how my musical tastes have changed over the years.
I miss cassette tapes, though.

The government may be limited in what they can do to a religious group, but surely they can step in against an obviously corrupt police force. We're winning, though. $cientology is fast becoming the laughing stock of the world. We're going to need some serious Hubdroid reprogramming.
