This video is simply awesome. It slowly zooms in on concrete until it reaches the atoms, while verbally explains what we're seeing. I wish there were others like it taken of different materials.
There's a well-known 9-minute 1970s-era short film by Charles and Ray Eames that does the same sort of thing with human tissue. Actually it shows outer space at one extreme and the electron cloud inside a carbon atom in a man's hand at the other. It's called "Powers of Ten" and I believe it's available on DVD. It's even more engrossing than this one.

It's worth noting that those are silicon atoms, not concrete atoms, as concrete is not an element.
